Les guides de voyage

Incontestablement, le Lonely Planet (le "LP", comme on dit) nouvelle édition septembre 2017, édition anglaise (la meilleure) ou française. Simple, bons plans, couvrant bien l'ensemble du pays. Par contre, évidemment ne pas tenir compte des prix, étant donné l'inflation dans le pays.

Le petit Futé "Iran" (2017/2018). 2ème édition sur l'Iran, très bien faite, comme tous les guides de la collection.

Les autres : Découverte Iran, chez Olizane (Nouvelle édition février 2015)

Les cartes

Iran 2013, Reise Know How, allemand/anglais/français/espagnol. A propos de nos chers allemands, ce sont eux que l'on voit le plus en Iran, avec les américains, les canadiens, les chinois et les italiens, actuellement.

Iran 2009, Gizi Map. C'est celle qu'on a ! Elle est toute déchirée...

Iran 2008, éditée par ITM. Format plus petit que Gizi. 

Carte de la route de la soie 2012, éditée également par Gizi Map. Couvre l'Iran mais aussi la Turquie, l'Asie centrale, l'Afghanistan, etc...Pour ceux qui prennent la route.

Beaux livres

Iran aux multiples visages, de Yves et Thérèse Korbendau, ACR Edition (2000). Très belles photos.

L'Iran historique et archéologique 

L'art de l'Iran, d'André Godard. Ancien (il remonte à 1962 !), c'est un classique sur l'Iran archéologique. André Godard fut un des plus grands archéologues français en Iran, restaurant de nombreux monuments comme la Mosquée du Vendredi à Ispahan et fondant le Musée national iranien, à Téhéran, à l'époque de Reza Shah !

Perse, de Roman Ghirshman, collection L'Univers des formes, chez Gallimard. Un autre grand classique de l'Iran ancien. Egalement français, Ghirshman fouilla particulièrement à l'ouest de l'Iran (Suse, Teppe Sialk, Teppe Gian), et dans le Fars (Persépolis, Bishapur). Il a aussi publié Parthes et Sassanides, sur la période post - achéménide. Moins facile d'accès que le Godard.

Histoire générale de l'Iran

Histoire de l'Iran et des iraniens, des origines à nos jours, par Jean-Paul Roux, grand spécialiste de la culture islamique, chez Fayard. Du solide...

L'art en Iran

7000 ans d'art perse, chefs-d'oeuvres du Musée national de Téhéran. Chez Seuil Skira (2002), sans doute la référence.

La peinture persanne, Skira (1961), collection Les trésors de l'Asie. Très bon texte, sur les influences croisées avec l'Inde.

La poésie persane

Le divan, de Hafez (de son vrai nom Khouajeh Chams ad-Din Mohammad Hafez-e Chirazi). Le plus célèbre poète persan (14e siècle), vénéré dans tout l'Iran, son mausolée est à Shiraz.

L'islam en général

Le Coran, traduction de Denise Masson, Gallimard (1967). Le Livre saint pour les musulmans.

L'islam en Iran

Qu'est ce que le shï'isme ?, de Christian Jambet et Mohammed-Ali Amir-Moezzi, chez Fayard encore. Carrèment savant mais passionnant pour ceux qui veulent vraiment plonger dans la compréhension de l'Iran islamique...

La société aujourd'hui

Dentelles et tchador, d'Armin Arefi, iranien, journaliste. Pour mieux comprendre toutes les subtilités et contradictions qui traversent la société iranienne aujourd'hui...

Géopolitique de l'Iran

Iran : l'irresistible ascension, de Robert Baer. Ex de la CIA, le livre a des analyses intéressantes sur les conséquences de la fin de la guerre en Irak dans l'équilibre régional et la possible montée des tensions avec l'Arabie séoudite pour le contrôle du Golfe et du Proche-Orient. Un peu excessif cependant.

Travel guides

Unquestionably the Lonely Planet (the "LP", as they say) 2017 edition, English edition (the best) or French. Simple, good plans, covering well the whole country. By cons, obviously do not take into account the price, given the inflation in the country.

Other: Discovery Iran, in Olizane (New edition 2017), okay but bulky and a bit overwhelmed.
